The purpose of the course was to provideCMM Yacht Servicewith the tools to improve its operations and enhance its professional excellence, including through the exchange of experiences among those who work in the ship painting industry on a daily basis.
PPG products are constantly evolving, with new materials and finishing solutions continually being introduced to meet the requirements of even the most demanding shipowners; as a result, ship body metalworkers must stay up to date on the latest products, processes, and techniques for ship restoration.
Two days of trainingduring which we covered topics related to the full process offered by the company; we began with sanding and priming, then moved on to painting, glossing, and finally touch-ups. We explored several application methods to determine which product and process are best suited for the various situations that may arise.
We would like to thank the PPG technicians for their professional expertise and the advice they provided to CMM Yacht Service: it was a positive experience both professionally and technically.
